What is HIIT training?

HIIT is a type of interval training exercise. It incorporates several rounds that alternate
between several minutes of high intensity movements to significantly increase the heart
rate to at least 80% of one’s maximum heart rate, followed by short periods of lower
intensity movements. Body weight can be used as the main form of resistance so that
additional equipment is not needed. HIIT can help to decrease body fat, increase strength
and endurance, and improve health outcomes. Its main appeal is that it can achieve
similar fitness and health benefits in a shorter duration, and that it includes periods of

What is Hybrid HIIT?

Hybrid HIIT is a version of HIIT training where various types of weight light weight
equipment is used during the exercises in addition to body weight exercises to amplify
the effects, and results. We also use multiple work/rest ratios to include Tabata type
programming, and other more strength and cardio based programming. When it comes to
fitness training, there is no method that is better for more people and does more for an
individual’s overall fitness and health level.
